Are you stuck for childcare? Need someone after school or in the school holidays? Need everyday, a few days or even just occasional days? Perhaps you just want a break from the little darlings?

What do I do?

I look after children between the ages of 0 - 14 years.

I pick children up from Ilfracombe Infant and Junior Schools at 3pm and can have them until 6pm Monday to Friday.

I also provide holiday care from Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm.

Sorry, no bank holidays or weekends!

During the day in the term time I work in a day nursery. I have been working in nurseries since 1997 when my youngest was 5 years old. I regularly do training, so I can keep up with all the latest in childcare!

What can the children do?

I have a secure back garden where the children can play, and on wet days I have lots of different things for the children to do. Mousetrap, Frustration, colouring and painting, card making and cooking (just to name a few).

The children are made to feel safe and secure in a homely environment.

Outings

Sometimes I arrange outings for the children in the holiday times to local places, but we regularly go to the park across the road about 2 minutes away. It has swings, a roundabout and a basketball hoop.

Also within walking distance are Bicclescombe Park, Slade Park, the beach and the library.

Who am I?

My name is Beverley Overend. I have lived in Ilfracombe since December 2000.

I have three children and two cats.

I have been a registered childminder since 1996.

I am DCMA Quality Assured.

I have a first aid for children and am studying for a Diploma in Pre-school practice.

I am centrally located in Ilfracombe.
